Deadlines and intakes
Undergraduate applications usually run through UCAS with fixed deadlines. Many postgraduate courses are applied for directly, with several intakes a year.
Costs and funding
Plan for tuition and living costs. Some universities publish scholarships or fee discounts with their own eligibility rules and deadlines.
How a UCAS or direct application runs
- 1Send us your subject, your predicted or achieved grades and the year you want to start.
- 2An adviser checks those grades against the entry requirements each course publishes, including any GCSE or subject-specific conditions.
- 3You settle on a shortlist — up to five choices on one UCAS application for undergraduate study, or a direct list if you are applying for a postgraduate course.
- 4We work through your personal statement, references and deadline dates with you, and point out when to apply to Student Finance England so funding is not the thing that holds you up.
- 5Your application goes in and we explain each decision as it arrives, including what a firm and insurance pair commits you to, and how Clearing works if results day does not go to plan.
