About us

Straightforward guidance for UK university study

HelpMeDegree Ltd is a UK higher education consultancy registered in England and Wales (company no. 17432639). We help prospective students explore suitable university options and support them through the application journey, from first enquiry to enrolment.

What we do

Choosing where and what to study is a significant decision, and the process around it can be confusing. We make it easier to understand. An adviser reviews your academic background, discusses courses that realistically match it, explains entry requirements in plain language, helps you assemble the documents universities ask for, and stays with you while applications are considered.

We also work with universities on student recruitment. Where a university has agreed to work with us, we support their applicants through the same process.

How we work

One adviser, start to finish

You are not passed between departments. The same person knows your background and your application.

Honest about outcomes

Universities and the relevant authorities make the decisions. We tell you what is realistic, not what sounds good.

Clear at every step

You always know the current status of your application and what needs to happen next.

How we keep our information accurate

Most of the information on this website describes decisions made by other organisations, so being clear about our sources matters more than sounding authoritative.

Course and university information

Course details, entry requirements, fees and intakes are recorded against the individual university and course, and each record carries the date it was last checked. Where a date is shown, that is when a member of our team last verified it against the university's own published information.

Guides and explanations

Our written guides explain process, terminology and typical requirements. They are reviewed by the HelpMeDegree advisory team and dated so you can see how current they are. They describe how things generally work — they are not a decision about your individual case.

Where we defer to the source

Universities set entry requirements and make admission decisions. The UK authorities decide immigration matters. Funding bodies decide funding. Where the official source and our summary ever differ, the official source is correct and we will say so.

Partnerships stated plainly

Listing a university on this website does not mean we have a recruitment agreement with them. We only describe a university as a partner where an agreement genuinely exists and the university is content for it to be stated.

Found something out of date or wrong? Tell us at support@helpmedegree.com and we will check it against the university's published information and correct it.

Who gives the advice

Every enquiry is handled by a named HelpMeDegree adviser rather than an anonymous inbox, and the same adviser stays with you through applications, documents and offers. Advisers work with UK university admissions processes day to day, and our admissions and compliance colleagues review anything sensitive before it goes to a university.

We use software to reduce paperwork — organising documents, spotting missing information and drafting routine messages. It never decides your eligibility and never sends an application on your behalf. A person reviews anything that affects your case before it reaches you or a university.

What we are not

  • We are not a university. Admissions decisions are made by the university you apply to.
  • We are not a visa authority or a government body. Immigration decisions are made by the UK authorities.
  • We are not a regulator or an accrediting body, and we do not claim endorsement by one.
  • We cannot guarantee admission, visa approval, a scholarship or employment, and we will never suggest otherwise.
