Planning your study budget
The main costs to plan for beyond tuition fees.
Tuition fees are only part of the picture. Planning early makes the rest of the process calmer.
Tuition fees
Published by each university per course and per intake. Fees commonly differ for UK and international students.
Living costs
Accommodation, food, travel and study materials. Costs vary considerably by city.
One-off costs
Application or deposit payments, English tests, document translation, and for international students the visa application and healthcare surcharge set by the UK government.
Funding
Some universities publish scholarships or fee discounts with their own eligibility rules and deadlines. Availability changes and no scholarship can be promised in advance. Your adviser can point you to what a university has published for your course and intake.
